Custom PP Generator is free Brisnet software for Windows that lets you view and customize past performances (PPs), which show each horse's racing history. This guide shows you how to install it and load data files.
What you need to know
- Custom PP Generator runs on Windows computers. It is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows, and installation usually won't complete on them.
- Custom PP Generator uses PP Data File (Single) files from brisnet.com.
- By default, files are saved to the BRISCUST folder on your C: drive. You can save them anywhere, as long as you remember where.
How to download and install Custom PP Generator
- Go to brisnet.com and select Free Software at the top left of the page.
- Select PP Generator.
- Select the Download Custom PP Generator – full install link. Choose the link with the largest file size, not the upgrade version.
- Open the downloaded file from your Downloads folder or your browser's download message.
- Follow the setup wizard, selecting Next until installation finishes.
When installation is complete, a Custom PP Generator icon appears on your desktop and in your programs list.

How to open a data file
- Open Custom PP Generator. It opens the last file you loaded.

Important details
- If an error message won't close: Custom PP Generator reopens the last file you loaded, so a damaged file can show an error every time you open the program. Open Task Manager, go to the Processes tab, and end custompp.exe. Then delete or move that file so it doesn't load again, and download a new copy.
- If information is missing or looks wrong: Custom PP Generator uses styles to choose what appears on your PPs. Switch back to the default style to check whether a changed setting is the cause.
- Some Los Alamitos files may show as La Rochelle, with some information missing. Contact customer support if this happens.
- If you still have trouble, contact customer support.
